Life changing

I have now been on 3 workshops with Scott. I have made some great friends, had some of the best experiences of my life and learned more than i could have imagined. Want to learn about light? Spend some time with Scott.  Tony G, Auckland.

A photographic workshop with a difference

I have now attended 3 workshops (and one trip to Samoa) with Scott and each workshop has been amazing, different, creative and inspirational. Each workshop puts together a small group of like minded photographers, of all abilities. Scott is a great teacher and mentor, with a head full of crazy ideas and the heart of a Scotsman. The workshops are about opportunity, to work with models, with props and to try new creative techniques. Participants are invited to bring along ideas to share and create during the workshop.can bring along any ideas they might want to try. What could be better than to have 4 days (or 7 days) to live, breathe, share and shoot photography.

 Jen Fawkes, Australia.

I have done several workshops with Scott Fowler, including the Samoan Photo Cycle Tour.
Scott has a wonderful ability to accommodate a variety of photographic levels within a group and has never made me feel inadequate if I ask what may seem to others, a basic question. He is well organised and professional but also able to laugh with the rest of the group. Along with his extensive knowledge of photography and post-processing, he is an able teacher and manages to adapt his teaching style easily to the workshop attendees. Scott has a wonderful sense of humour and it was an absolute pleasure spending 2 weeks with him and the group on our recent Samoan trip.
Julia Home APSNZ, EFIAP

It was my pleasure to be a participant on Scott Fowler's High Country Photography Adventure in March 2015.
Scott is very generous with both his time and extensive knowledge. I get a picture of the "energizer bunny" when I think about the passion and energy that Scott put in to ensure we all got as much as possible out of the workshop.
Our 4wd adventure meant we got to be in huge, absolutely stunning landscapes every day. Unique high country and there is no one else there but your group!
I loved it. I’d go again, no question.

I attended Scott's Autumn Colours Workshop this April 2015, and I was blown away with the whole weekend, so much in fact I have booked 2 more of Scott's exciting workshops!!
Whether you are a novice photographer like me, or a pro, there is much to be learnt with Scott's action packed, informative and fun weekend. Scott is a true professional, friendly and very knowledgeable and patient. He creates a fun environment, encourages you to learn and grow at your own pace, but at the same time he pushes the boundaries, shares his many tips and tricks to get the best out of your camera, and learn the secrets of the Nik post processing software package. Scott knows all of the Hot Spots at Otematata Station - a unique place that I felt very privileged to be able to stay and enjoy the spectacular scenery and the many old, old relics around the property. From the basic fundamentals of composition and lighting I also learnt a lot about portraiture, ghosting, shooting in the dark, macro and so much more. I can't wait until August and November for the next workshops.
If you want to really get to know how to use your camera, gain the confidence with learning some simple and amazing techniques, get the best out of your lenses and softward and have a whole lot of fun. then you want to book one of Scott;'s workshops. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! --Rowena Richards, Queenstown

Thank you Scott Fowler for treating us to a very entertaining and informative presentation.  There was not one drooping eyelid to be seen in the audience!

Scott emphasised that we should be confident in our photography, ignore out inhibitions by curing our disease of adultism (the inability to listen to the child within us), get to know our equipment and practice every day.

Scott quoted Sir Winston Churchill "Success is stumbling from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.”

Photography is the outward expression of inner significance.  It is about expressing your soul in your imagery. It is about Practice. It is about Making Better Images. It is about being true to yourself. It is about being creative. It is about learning. It is about trying. It is about failures. It is about trying again and again. It is about who you are. It is about you having fun. It is about ideas. It is about whatever you want it to be.

Did you know that JPEG does not mean "Joint Photographic Experts Group"?  It actually means (according to Scott) "Just Pray Everything's Good"- Di Schofield, Belmont 16s camera club, Australia.
